The Pen is mightier than the sword, but the Pen must sometimes move the sword against corruption if the corrupt are not moved by the pen.. An idea without an implementer is useless. "The Rulers do not carry the sword in vain"Rom 13:4

A message to Melbourne Evangelical Churches.

Specially the Baptist and Open Brethren, and 'Hillsong' types. (CityLife, Crossway, Stairway and others)...

The liberty you enjoy to worship was hard won.

Chaplain Andrew Gillison was praised in one soldier's war diary as 'the bravest man he ever knew.' Dearly loved by the Gallipoli soldiers for whom he gave his life, Gillison's memorial still sits at Embarkation Pier, just north of Anzac Cove in Gallipoli.

You are aware of Nehemiah ordering the Israelites to have a sword in one hand and a spade in the other while rebuilding Jerusalem?

‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’

Yep...that was Israel, but what about YOU?   Lavished with material prosperity, loving your cherished liberty,  but.. like the Laodiceans.. 'languishing' in lukewarmness?   Having a wonderful picnic under the shade of the tree that is watered  by the blood of our forefathers,  timidly looking up and afraid to climb that tree to see what's actually going on around you... scared to 'go out on a limb' and put your face and faith in a public place to stand firm in the full armor of God... using the freedom and political liberty we have to ensure we never LOSE it again!

But in your relaxed and cloistered comfort, in your denial and apathy, in your prioritization of politics and economics that limits your interest to 'what effects me now'... rather than contemplating what will oppress your children soon... you deserve the harshest lashing from our heavenly Father. .... a healthy dose of Medication from Isaiah might prove valuable.  Imagine if what the Almighty already knows about you, and your internal ecclesiastical politics, who is married to who among the leadership.. which family or families predominantly 'run' the Church...  imagine if all that was aired publicly ? God already knows it.... perhaps his people should as well? No wonder the prophets were never popular !

From the sole of your foot to the top of your head
    there is no soundness—
only wounds and welts
    and open sores,
not cleansed or bandaged
    or soothed with olive oil.

Hear the word of the Lord,
    you rulers of Sodom;
listen to the instruction of our God,
    you people of Gomorrah!
11 “The multitude of your sacrifices—
what are they to me?” says the Lord.
“I have more than enough of burnt offerings,
    of rams and the fat of fattened animals;
I have no pleasure
in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.
12 When you come to appear before me,
who has asked this of you,
    this trampling of my courts?
13 Stop bringing meaningless offerings!

Oh yes... this DOES mean 'you'.  Wake up... wake up now...and stand up and speak out.

How might the Lord punish you ?  Perhaps he will 'inspire' some of his people to display posters and signs that have your church name on them at rallies that  are aimed at ensuring your freedom to worship?

and so on... would that be embarrassing?  Your embarrassment now will be the least of your worries when you are ordered to 'celebrate' homosexual marriage, (and relationships).. it will be nothing compared to having a large mosque erected next door, and the eventual trumpeting of the Islamic call to prayer droning through the airways 5 times a day... and nothing will compare to your guilt and anguish when you suddenly find yourselves 2nd class citizens because of your faith and you look back and wistfully reflect..."We had the chance and freedom to prevent this,.....but did nothing".

Resorting to some cop out eschatological understanding of 'end times' will simply not cut it..."Oh.. we can't do anything.. it's inevitable... we know persecution will come, but GOD is in charge" etc.. well.. if you can't standup  now when that persecution is only a small sapling, how will you stand when it is a full grown Mountain Ash ?

Having liberty and freedom but NOT using it to retain it, is a denial of Divine Providence, it is a rejection of what God has ordered and arranged in this point in history. Yes.. it IS "His" STORY...but it's like we read the page but simply don't comprehend our own responsibilities.

II Chronicles 7:32 says:  "from Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do--200 chiefs, with all their relatives under their command"...

oh yes.. but not all Israel knew what they should do, because they simply didn't understand the times like the sons of Issachar did... they were self centered, narcissistic and cared only about international relations and the intrusion of a comfortable establishment under King Saul.. at this time David was the rising revolutionary, the 'rebel'... he was an outcast from the Liberal and Labor oligarchy of the day... no, he was not a 'Green'...he was the UPF and RECLAIM Australia.  Small movements with the nations best in their hearts.

In those days, the sons of Issachar know both the times and what they should do... but what about..YOU?

Reclaim Australia

Don't be bothered by the sometimes vulgar language of these people..... their hearts are for this Nation and our freedoms.  Even Jesus ate with 'tax collectors and sinners'.. are you any better than they? I suggest that your lack of passion for freedom that God in His providential wisdom has given us,  is your betrayor!  What did Jesus say?

“Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. 32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. (Mat 21:31ff)

So this is a call to repentance as much as anything... and last time I checked

Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Tim 5:8

Are you so myopic as to limit the application of this verse to just your own extended or nuclear family? Is not this nation also your household?

Lessons from Nehemiah:

16 From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah 17 who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, 18 and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked.

Our most effective weapon is our FREEDOM.. and the just and peaceful use of it to keep it!  Sitting at home enjoying the grandkids while their liberty is eroded and their future is trashed is not an option folks.
