The Pen is mightier than the sword, but the Pen must sometimes move the sword against corruption if the corrupt are not moved by the pen.. An idea without an implementer is useless. "The Rulers do not carry the sword in vain"Rom 13:4

We've got it all.....and then some! (Christian Reality)

As Christians, we have

The news that renews...
The Word that makes wise...
The Truth that transforms...
The Information that inspires...
The paper that predicts our future....
The Bulletin that emBoldens us.....
The Bastion that protects us.....
The Communique that completes us....
The Narrative that negates our weakness...

The Gospel of His greatness and grace...
The Epistle that Educates....
The History of the Heroic Jesus...
The Peace that passes understanding.
The Forecast of the final solution to the worlds ills. (New people, (now)a new heaven and a new earth (then) )

As Christians, we are:

Prophets of the Prince of peace
Proclaimers of Love
Pursuers of purity
Presenters of a preferred outlook for humanity
Salt that stabilizes Society
Light that shines on the laneway of life.

I could tag a verse with each one of the above assertions, but you can work that out.... if you're Christian, you probably know them already.

How are...'you' going in the realization and proclamation of these realities?  Are you sitting smilingly at the bottom of the tree having a comfortable cozy picnic, rather than climbing up and going out on a limb for Jesus?  Do you enjoy Bible Study groups, enjoying the fellowship but hiding from the fight and do nothing that will benefit the uncountable millions out there who are lost?

As with any company, there is need for an 'annual general meeting' to sort out the past performance and future vision of the group and 'you' as an individual in it.

Did you come to Christ by way of 'cheap sale, reduced to clear,  all stock must go, no interest or repayments for 5 yrs'  evangelism?  If you did, there's every chance you will have a ho hum, very ordinary and unimpressive expression of that faith in the public arena. If it didn't cost you much, I suppose you wont value it highly and perhaps will  regard it as a personal convenience and emotional accessory rather than something to shout about.

Having said that, there are places to shout and not to shout.  One humorous though regrettable occasion I witnessed was a well meaning solo evaneglist who believed he was called to 'witness' to people living in high rise flats. He set up a PA system on his car, and aimed the speakers up at the building... where many shift workers were trying to sleep. He bellowed out John 3:16 and many other great verses of truth... but his method and time of delivery stunted and stymied that truth before the 2nd soundwave hit the ears of  desperately tired shiftworkers and ordinary people who had no place to go to escape from his ranting. Police were called and even then he had a 'verse'..."If they persecute you in one town, flee to the next".

So, there are times and places. Choose them wisely.  Most cities have something called a 'speakers corner' or equivalent.  That's one place.   Even a train station at peak hour... people coming home.. sure they are tired, but if you speak in a way that resonates, perhaps some will hold back a while and listen, others.... they can just proceed home and away from 'that annoying preacher'.
