The Pen is mightier than the sword, but the Pen must sometimes move the sword against corruption if the corrupt are not moved by the pen.. An idea without an implementer is useless. "The Rulers do not carry the sword in vain"Rom 13:4

Resurgence of Marxism or.....?

Or a return to the Bible?

The equation is simple....Marx was wrong, (and where he was right, he has been misinterpreted by many people calling themselves "Marxists" hence the man himself once declaring "I am not a Marxist" (after noting the contemporary antics of those who defined themselves by his name)

But Prof John Buchanan, to quote his own words,-a "lapsed Marxist" of Sydney University, considers there will be a resurgence of interest in,  and relevance of, Marx  unfolding in these modern days.

If this happens, it will only be due to a lamentable lack of understanding of both human nature, sociology.  Of course those clinging for dear life to the intellectual floatation device of "Das Kapital" will not admit the flaws in their thinking, because after all....what else do they have? When faith is forlorn, people must invent it or invest in something.  Sadly, they often do these things microseconds after rejecting the one thing that can actually give them what they need at their deepest level. (God, Christ, Faith, Bible)

A political ambition based on the false idea of human nature will have as much success as asking the boss for a promotion and raise when his nephew works in your department and aspires to the same position.

So, my prediction is that many people will ultimately realize that the Bible is more than just a black covered book gathering dust on grandpa's shelf.  The flaws of Marxism, the failures of existentialism, the futility of narcissism and the frightfulness of nihilism mean there are not many places to look for 'hope'.  Some pathetic misguided people will look for hope in Islam, in spite of the daily blood letting, and bestial behavior of the competing parties in Syria and Iraq.  "Allah Akbah" says the insurgent/rebel as he chomps into the newly ripped out heart or liver of a government soldier...hmmm yeah... riiiiight.  Here is the kicker.. Muhammad himself mutilated the bodies of living prisoners from the tribe of Ukl poking out their eyes with hot metal spikes, hacking off their hands and feet and leaving them to die miserably on the desert sands..... why should we expect any different from those who follow him?

Oh wait... you might be thinking...."Where did this crazy lunatic get this ridiculous slur on the noble prophet?????"  err.. how about from his own holy writings?

Punishment of Disbelievers at War with Allah and His Apostle

Volume 8, Book 82, Number 794:
Narrated Anas:
Some people from the tribe of 'Ukl came to the Prophet and embraced Islam. The climate of Medina did not suit them, so the Prophet ordered them to go to the (herd of milch) camels of charity and to drink, their milk and urine (as a medicine). They did so, and after they had recovered from their ailment (became healthy) they turned renegades (reverted from Islam) and killed the shepherd of the camels and took the camels away. The Prophet sent (some people) in their pursuit and so they were (caught and) brought, and the Prophets ordered that their hands and legs should be cut off and that their eyes should be branded with heated pieces of iron, and that their cut hands and legs should not be cauterized, till they die.

But, you say... anyone can slap a few words together and make them look like the real thing.... ok.. here is an image of the original source in the oral tradition (2nd only to the Quran) on which most Sharia law is based!

So...in conclusion, the Marxists are wrong...the Muslims are wrong.... do I need to say who's right?
But right....about what?   There is an answer to this question. Unfortunately, one aspect of human nature happens to be that we normally react negatively to a person 'preaching' about how everyone else is wrongggg, but they are 'riiiiight'..... sounds a bit arrogant and 'talking down' to others. Well... I'm hoping that you the reader are mature enough to put such infantile reactionary stupidity aside and actually look objectively at some serious life changing facts.  So, now is the time to put 'me' and the rather abrasive tone of this article aside as well... and take a deep breath and do some research for your own sake.

We can always find "a scholar" to reinforce our prejudices and presuppositions, so all that's left at the end of the day (and this article) is 'you' and the Scriptures/Bible and how you interact with them for your own sake.  It's not about how much light you have, but how much sight!  All the light in the world will not make a scrap of difference to a blind person.  But just make sure that if you seem blind, that it comes from you and not from some dimwit out there in academia land.

Salvation starts here.
