Bill Shorten, a most unworthy Person?.

The title of this article is an opinion piece. "my opinion". You can add to Shorten's name that of Tony Abbott, but for different reasons. Mr Abbott appears not to be involved in squalid sordid sexual mayhem as is alleged about Mr Shorten, but Mr Abbott is too eager to compromise our national interest in the name of the much narrower financial interest of those he actually represents.  We may be sure that those 'interests' are far fewer than those who voted for the Coalition out of desperation to rid the nation of the foul scourge of Labors unending over spending and yo-yo leadership tricks.
Christine Milne? the Greens? well they've had their share of sexual scandal, and they are politically irrelevant to any sensible minded person.

Jesus once said.. "Why do you see the speck in your brothers eye, when you have a plank in your own". Fair point, but here is the problem.... when a person like Mr Shorten stands for Prime minister of a nation, we have gone wayyyy past specks and planks...it is in the interest of the nation to know a mans private conduct in order to assess his suitability for high public office. FDR once said "and there must be an end to a conduct in banking and in business which has far too often given to a sacred trust the likeness of callous and selfish wrongdoing!"(1) That applies equally to politics and to the Labor side as much as to the Coalition.

Immoral?  Unworthy? Hypocritical?  Scandalous? Do these words describe a man who reportedly was fooling around with his secretary (making her pregnant) prior to becoming engaged to the daughter of the Governor General Quintin Bryce?  History will judge. (Larry Pickering, 4 times Walkly award winner already has it seems and he is much closer to the 'action' than I).

Apart from having the sort of head you’d never get tired of kicking, Bill Shorten, to put it bluntly is a dog of a bloke. What rankles me most is not his politics or his lack of loyalty but how he treated a good friend of mine. (Pickering- source)

But where there is sufficient sinful smoke we can have a high confidence level  of a foul fire of filth fuelling  it.

It is well-known in Canberra that the press gallery leave these sorts of things alone. A lot a of the media knew that the former minister Gareth Evans was having an affair with another minister Cheryl Kernot for many years but did not report it. Gareth Evans even lied in parliament about having the affair. It was not until Laurie Oakes decided to break the story years later did it become public.

It seems that Mr Shorten, has the morals of an ally cat, and still want's to be El Presidente of Australia.  What is it about Labor and Lust, Labor and Lasciviousness?  Labor and Licentiousness?

It's about time Australia, that you woke the heck up and demanded a higher moral  standard from your would be kings.. good grief, 'any' standard would be higher than Shortens and Labor's in my view.

Today Shorten said in public "It's time Tony Abbot stopped hiding the truth" (re assylum seekers)....

REALLY Bill? How about YOU no longer hiding your own reported decadence  and degeneracy if Pickering and others have it right! Bill...the sin is too stark, the blemish too bold, and the wound far far too infected.

Jesus spoke in very judgemental terms to those who held high office. "Woe to you scribes and pharisees,

“Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7 they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.
25 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean. (Matt 23)

It seems that we need Jesus more than ever these days. Someone who will tell it like it is, without fear or favor. Of course if we did embrace his rather straight talking method, we might find ourselves also crucified by whichever Media that supports the target of our ire.

"We can mount up to the stars scientifically, while we wallow in the gutter morally, our heads are in space and our hearts are in Sodom" (Vance Havner)
