Construction Unions-Champions of Workers Welfare or ? (Australia)

In the original film version of ROBIN HOOD (starring Errol Flynn), the Sheriff of Nottingham says to Robin, "You speak treason." Robin replies, "Fluently." We hope to do the same. Noel Ignatiev, former Harvard Professor.  This calls for wisdom to fit that comment into this blog entry. **

Once upon a time, there was a man of relatively low rank who had been discharged from the Army, and was looking to advance himself by studying art. He was in Vienna, Austria.  To support himself while practicing and studying Art, he did occasional work on building sites.  He found there a situation that disturbed him greatly.  Here is his exprience.

From day to day I was becoming better informed than my companions in the subjects on which they claimed to be experts. Then a day came when the more redoubtable of my adversaries
resorted to the most effective weapon they had to replace the force of reason. This was intimidation and physical force. Some of the leaders among my adversaries ordered me to leave the building or else get flung down from the scaffolding. As I was quite alone I could not put up any physical resistance; so I chose the first alternative and departed, richer however by an experience.

This initial experience of construction unions was a serious lesson in life for this man, he later observed:

it is not the task of the trades union to band together certain men within the national community and thus gradually transform these men into a class, so as to use them in a conflict against other groups similarly organized within the national community. We certainly cannot assign this task to the trades union as such. This was the task assigned to it the moment it became a fighting weapon in the hands of the Marxists.

This observation is further expanded in....

When I was twenty years old I had learned to distinguish between the Trades Union as a means of defending the social rights of the employees and fighting for better living conditions for them and, on the other hand, the Trades Union as a political instrument used by the Party in the class struggle.

It appears to this observer, that the current state of the construction union is very much further down the track from these observations some decades ago. It seems they have bypassed 'class struggle' in the strict political sense and leapfrogged straight to hyper narcissistic unbridled greed. The only 'classes' they now care about are 'them'.. and everyone else can go to hell.

Classic Marxist doctrine demands that the workers be made to feel 'alienated' from their work and from society, so they can then be used as a battering ram against the forces of injustice and capitalism so the new equality of socialism then communism can enter into the affairs of man. But though history teaches us clearly that this never happens, this CFMEU does not seem to even care about any of that, because they are already the best paid members of the working community, dripping with allowances and swimming in cash. Now..they have become the new forces of injustice and 'capitalism' so to speak..where they believe and act as though they own all capital and work sites.  One needs to actually visit a construction site to observe the manner and attitude of Union organizers, they are more like Gestapo and SS  than anyone else.  I vividly recall an ETU organizer at a Melbourne construction site, walking around and throwing his weight as he saw fit.

The main point to learn from all this, (for the construction unions) is that the 'people'...(that's us) simply don't listen to their bleeting about unfair this, unjust that or unsafe the other thing.  We are toally deaf, because while we don't have ears for them, we do have very good vision and eyes. Any 'fastest gun in the west' attitude will always eventually meet the immovable rock of 'someone faster'.

The man who was quoted above saw to that. In his time, he rounded up the Union organizers, sent them packing at the point of a gun to remote camps and had them dancing to his tune doing star jumps each morning and gainful employement for the rest of the day. The irony of all this is that this man was largely 'created' by the treatment he endured by Construction unions.   Once they had created him... without realising it... it was all too late when he suddenly had absolute authority and 'they' had an absolute destiny with death.

Such a man could indeed rise up today, but he would have learned from history that the 2 seeds of destruction for the man quoted above must be avoided at all costs.  i.e. Racial superiority and Territorial expansion.  The mood in Australia is not yet ripe for such a person, but the season is approaching.
The staggering incompetence of the Government is driving people to political despair. It will only take one more factor to take them that further step for the tree of political change to ripen it's fruit of absolute authority.  That step is..hunger. A starving man can only hear one message..the one which explains where his next meal is coming from. Such a person would walk over half dead bodies if he knew that there was a decent meal at the other side.

Plato said that the next step from democracy is Tyranny. Voltaire said that an enlightened tyrant is not a bad thing.  I say that when a building laborer is paid more than a teacher, the forbidden fruit of  the tree of knowledge is about to drop and be eaten by the wider populace.

** Ignatiev is a marxist.  See this from Harvard University magazine.  A quote is provided below:

"Make no mistake about it: we intend to keep bashing the dead white males, and the live ones, and the females too, until the social construct known as ‘the white race’ is destroyed—not ‘deconstructed’ but destroyed."

I wonder, if you are 'white'.... do you even care about such sentiments? I am guessing that only when they begin to hurt your mortgage, or your children, only then will such hatred be of concern to you. If that's the case....then you deserve all you get. As Ronald Reagan once said:

"We are at war with the most dangerous enemy mankind has ever faced in his long climb from the swamps to the stars. It is said that if we lose that fight and in so doing lose our freedom, history will look back and remark with the greatest astonishment, that those who had the most to lose, did the least to prevent it happening"

Today, the soldiers of that invading force have many faces. They dress in the garb of a sheep, but are ravenous wolves. They inhabit our universities, our humanities, sociology and philosophy departments, they worship at the alter of Socialism and here is the picture.
Fabian Window Note the image on the shield between the 2 men each side of the ball like object.

That image has a story. Here it is and Here.

Closer to home in the land of Oz.. Here.

Martin Luther King Junior once said that "This is not the time to indulge in the luxury of cooling off, or taking the tranquillizing drug of gradualism"..
but that 'gradualism' is exactly how the Fabians operate.
